Heliothrope - from the Greek Helios (sun) and Tropein (turning) - meaning Turning to the sun - is a perfumed plant with an odour crossing between marzipan, cherry and almond. It was very much used in perfumes under the Victorian era but its beautiful scent has disappeared from the modern varieties. When one comes across a scented heliothrope, the best extraction way is through maceration in alcohol or enfleurage (petals impregnating in fats or butters).
Our Heliothrope essence is a combination of several natural ingredients that reproduce the beautiful fragrance of the flower.
Handmade in England.
The philosophy of our Time is Essence collection is 'to produce authentic fragrances in an artisanal and traditional manner, always striving to use only natural ingredients freely offered by Nature itself''.
